Safari Overview

Chitwan National Park, Nepal's first national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers one of the finest wildlife experiences in Asia. Our 3-day safari provides the perfect introduction to this magnificent reserve, home to more than 68 species of mammals, 544 species of birds, and 126 species of fish.

Located in Nepal's subtropical inner Terai lowlands, Chitwan presents a dramatic contrast to the Himalayan landscapes commonly associated with Nepal. The park covers 932 square kilometers of dense sal forests, grasslands, and marshy riverine areas that create ideal habitats for an impressive array of wildlife, including the endangered one-horned rhinoceros and the elusive Royal Bengal tiger.

Our carefully crafted safari combines multiple wildlife viewing methods to maximize your chances of unforgettable encounters. Jeep safaris take you deep into the park's core areas, while guided jungle walks offer intimate perspectives of the forest ecosystem. Serene canoe rides along the Rapti River provide opportunities to spot crocodiles, waterfowl, and animals coming to drink at the water's edge.

Beyond wildlife, Chitwan offers rich cultural experiences with the indigenous Tharu people, whose traditional lifestyle has adapted to the jungle environment over centuries. You'll have the opportunity to visit a Tharu village, learn about their unique customs, and enjoy vibrant cultural performances featuring traditional dances and music.

Throughout your stay, you'll be accommodated in a comfortable jungle lodge that blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings while providing all essential amenities. Expert naturalist guides accompany all activities, sharing their extensive knowledge of the park's ecology and helping you spot and identify wildlife. Whether you're a dedicated wildlife enthusiast, photographer, or simply seeking to experience another dimension of Nepal's diverse beauty, our Chitwan Safari delivers an unforgettable adventure.
